Shoots for 'Kolaveri Di'

Southern star Dhanush, who has become a household name after his song " Kolaveri Di" went viral online, reveals that the cast and crew of the film "3" has started shooting for the song and he is confident about the final product.

"Started Filming 'why this Kolaveri di'. The whole set is nervous. Haha. I'm just having fun and very confident. Wish us guys. God bless," Dhanush tweeted.

The video for "Kolaveri Di" was released on YouTube Nov 16. Its peppy, catchy tune as well as funky lyrics helped it go viral on the internet and get more than a million hits on the website within a day of its release.

The song, composed by 18-year-old Anirudh Ravichander, is part of the film "3", which is Dhanush's wife Aishwarya's directorial debut.

Well, to say I am a karaoke “addict” is a bit strong really, although it is a pass-time I enjoy enormously. It started for me some years ago in a very small way. My pass-time has evolved a great deal since those early days, a journey I will never forget.

Behind The Scenes of a Karaoke Show - The Other Side

A KJ's life is full of laborious and mind numbing repetitive tasks that a trained monkey would lose interest in doing. Many tasks are for the pub goer's benefit. When I wake up and have my first coffee of the morning (and a considerable amount of cigarettes) I first of all check my answer machine to see who has called me that morn, usually I'll find about 3 messages which were left by early birds just before they went to work, these messages can therefore be dealt with later on. I then start to plan my day, right so it's time for a reprint of our books.
I load up MS word and start adding in all my new or recent discs, but before I do that I have to check if we have them already or not. So I put one version in the punters book and both in the master (my copy) once I have done this I then print off the listings - this takes an hour or so - but I can't leave the printer because it WILL jam or WILL run out of ink mid way through and several times after that. As any KJ will tell you books take up a hell of a long time to produce, so that's why we get upset when somebody puts a fag through Shania Twain to Van Halen!

There are several things that can make people nervous about singing at karaokes:
- Singing in front of friends and family
- Trying new songs
- Singing in unfamiliar pubs or pubs with good singers
- Not knowing how their voices actually sound
There are others, but those were the ones that discouraged me the most. I had been going to karaokes with my family for a good while before deciding to sing and I would often look through the books and think about songs that I would like to try. Then decide against it. After all, no one laughs at the spectators.
